Mongolia Sunrise to Sunset (MS2S) is a non-profit race, with all proceeds managed by the ecoLeap Foundation, a charitable organization registered in Geneva, Switzerland.
The first MS2S race was held in 1999, with the initial goal of raising funds to purchase a garbage truck to support waste management efforts in Hovsgol National Park. Since then, proceeds from the event have continued to help preserve the park’s natural beauty and keep it as pristine as it was when the race began.
In 2009, ecoLeap Foundation was formally established in Geneva to oversee the race’s philanthropic activities and fundraising initiatives. Building on this foundation, in 2018 we created the Mongolian NGO ecoDevshilt, dedicated to promoting environmental protection and the preservation of cultural heritage within Mongolia.
